Avis offers serval options for Fuelling:
- Fuel Up Front: The price per litre is equivalent to the price at the petrol station. The customer purchases a full tank of fuel with the expectation that the vehicle is returned empty. It the car is returned with a partial tank the full charge still applied. If the car is returned full, no charge is applied.
- Bring Back Full: No charge is applied as the car is returned with the same amount of fuel as it had at collection.
- Pay On Return: The amount of fuel used during the rental is charged upon return of the vehicle. This option has a higher price per litre than the petrol station and covers the time and labour involved in refuelling as well as the cost of the fuel itself. The price per litre is stated on the rental agreement. The charge is calculated at the end of the rental based on the price per litre and is detailed on the final receipt/estimation of rental charges.
- EZ Fuel: This option is applied for low mileage rentals (under 75 miles or 125 kilometres) as a fixed amount which is dependent upon the size of the vehicle. In order to prevent this charge being applied, we request that the renter provide a receipt at return of the vehicle which confirms the car has been refuelled.
